Try it on your app
See your agent on your own app, signed in as usual, before anyone adds the install code.
Try it on your app gives you a bookmark that opens your agent's widget on your own product. Nothing is installed: the widget appears only in your browser, on the page you're looking at, and only until you click the bookmark again. It's the quickest way to check Skavelo's answers and watch a walkthrough point at your real buttons before your team adds the install code.
Two ways to try your agent
Open an agent and click Try it at the top of its page. There are two options:

Set up the bookmark
Get the bookmark
Open an agent, click Try it and choose On your app. Drag the Preview button to your browser's bookmarks bar.
If the bookmarks bar is hidden, press ⌘ Shift B on a Mac, or Ctrl Shift B on Windows. The option needs a bookmarks bar, so it's shown on computers only, not on phones or tablets.
Open your app
Go to your app in the same browser and sign in as usual. Any page works, including staging.
Click the bookmark
The widget opens on the page. Ask the questions your users ask, and start a walkthrough to see it point at your own buttons. Click the bookmark again to hide the widget.
What you can check
- Answers, in the context of the page you're on.
- Walkthroughs, on your real screens and with your real data, the way your users will see them.
- Playbooks set to Testing. Skavelo uses them only when your team uses Try it, so you can test a playbook before switching it on. See Playbooks.
Test conversations appear in Conversations like any other, so you can open one afterwards and see what Skavelo did.
Good to know
- Only you see it. The bookmark adds the widget to your own browser. Your users and other visitors see nothing, and it doesn't count as the widget being installed.
- It lasts 30 days. Each time you open On your app, you get a fresh bookmark that works for 30 days. It stops working sooner if you leave the workspace or sign out everywhere.
- Keep it to yourself. Anyone you give the bookmark to can open your agent in their own browser and use your workspace's tests. Teammates can get their own from the agent's page.
- Where Skavelo is already installed, the bookmark opens that widget instead of adding a second one.
If the bookmark doesn't work
- "This Skavelo preview bookmark has expired." Get a new bookmark from the agent's page and replace the old one.
- "This app blocks scripts added by bookmarks." Some apps only allow scripts they list themselves, so the preview can't load there. Add the install code to a staging copy of your app instead.
- "The Skavelo preview couldn't start on this page." Reload the page and click the bookmark again.
- The widget says you've used your tests on your app for this month. You can still use Try it here in Skavelo, and your tests on your app renew with your allowance.
