Targeting
Choose where the widget appears and who sees it.
By default, the widget shows on every page, to every visitor. The agent's Targeting tab lets you narrow that down. A summary at the top describes your current rules in plain language.
Pages
Choose Every page, Only these or All except these, then add paths. /billing/* covers every billing page; /login is just that page.
Use Check a page to test a path against your rules before saving. Targeting follows visitors as they move around a single-page app, without a page reload.
People
Choose Everyone, Signed in or Signed out. Someone counts as signed in once your app calls Skavelo.identify.
For signed-in users, you can add rules on their plan, role, tags or any trait, such as plan is trial, starter or plan is not enterprise. Values are comma separated, and any one of them counts.
Countries
Choose Everywhere, Only these or All except these, then pick countries from the list. The country comes from the visitor's connection. When it can't be determined, for example behind some VPNs, Only these hides the widget and All except these shows it.
Devices
Show the widget on All devices, Desktop only or Phones only.
Gradual rollout
Show the widget to a percentage of visitors first, then increase it as you gain confidence. Each visitor gets the same result on every visit, so nobody sees the widget appear and disappear.
Saving
When you change anything, a bar appears at the bottom of the page. Click Save targeting, or Discard to undo your changes. Widgets pick up new rules on their next page load.
Targeting and suggestions
Targeting decides whether the widget appears at all. Suggestions have their own rules for which prompts show where.
