Allowed sites
Choose which sites the widget is allowed to run on.
For security, the widget only answers on sites you allow and stays hidden anywhere else. This stops anyone from copying your snippet onto another website and using up your plan's conversations from there.
Managing allowed sites
On the agent's Install tab, find Allowed sites. By default it contains the address of your app. To add another site, such as a staging environment or your marketing site, enter its address and click Add. If Skavelo learned your app on staging, add your production address here too; see Learning on staging, running on production.
You can use a wildcard for subdomains, for example https://*.yourproduct.com.
For local development, click Allow localhost for local testing. This adds http://localhost:*, which allows the widget on any local port.
An agent needs at least one allowed site.
What happens on other sites
On a site that isn't allowed, the widget stays hidden. The browser console shows a message explaining which site was refused and how to add it, so developers can fix it quickly.
The Skavelo dashboard's own preview and test areas always work, whatever your allowed sites are.
